Because it's the really, really good one.

Right, then.

Huzzah to Empire. It'll be coming up on my countdown, too, either around the same place or a little higher. It's all about Peter Suschitzky—why isn't everyone fighting to work with this d.p.?—and whatever's not about Suschitzky is about Yoda.

Stand Yoda I to be honest can't. But this movie's so damn good it gets away with him. And I completely agree that Peter Suschitzky's a genius. There'll be another of his higher up...

Anybody who knocks Luke down a few pegs is A-okay in my book. Plus, I just think that little fucker is cute. (And his bizarre, arbitrary locutions don't grate on me in the original series the way they do in the recent ones, especially in Clones and Sith.)

I'm guessing Spider is the upcoming Suschitzky, with an outside shot on Dead Ringers or Mars Attacks!, but I'll be eager to be surprised.

Hey, I get to surprise you! (Not that much though.) Spider and Dead Ringers were both on the list for a long while, but they've dropped off (narrowly) in favour of... well, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Empire is so far above the others that the head spins. Because, well, what else did Kershner do for us? So it's hard to blame it on him. We know it's not Lucas. Hmmmm Suschitzky....
